WHAT A WEEK!!

“What a week!” is all coach Galley could say when asked how the basketball team is doing. The O.C.R.S. Wildcats won 2 games last week and are playing excellent basketball.

“The first half of the season was hard on players, fans, and coaches but the team has really pulled together in the second half and are winning big time.” Said coach Hansen. Oak Creek Ranch School had two basketball games last week, on Tuesday they beat Trinity High School from Prescott 47 to 32. High scorers and team leaders for that game were: Andrei G. with 18, Stephen K. with 10, Zac B. with 8 and Eric L. with 6. On Wednesday OCRS beat Young high School 46 to 14. High scorers for that game were: Eric L. with 9, Andrei G, Adam R, and Zac B. tied with 8 each. The Wildcats lead 31 to 10 at the half and were in complete control the entire game. Both coaches are thrilled with the overall improvement of their players. We are coming up on the last week of the season and OCRS plays 2 more games to finish the year.

The week’s featured player is Stephen K. Stephen is a 10th grader in his second year at OCRS from New Orleans, La. He has been playing basketball for 8 years and loves it. Stephen is also a member of the OCRS Championship Football team, as well as the softball and golf teams. “We are playing like a team and getting better every week” Stephen says. He has been the co-captain of the basketball team this year.
