OCRS Softball: Another Undefeated Season!

It was a wonderful season once again here at the ranch.  Our team went undefeated throughout the whole season.  We had players returning from last season, as well as players who joined a month late.  It was the first time some students ever played and for some it was the last. 

This year we had a great leader, Kristean L., who has been part of the team the last two years.  He will be graduating this year and leaving us for good.  In the beginning of the season he was our pitcher until Chance R., a freshmen, took that position by the horns.  He struck out 8 batters in one game and won the starting pitcher's role as a result. 

It was a season in which every player grew in skills.  At the beginning of the season very few could hit the ball, and in the championship game we showed we could all hit.  Twice in the season we were down in the last inning and twice the team was able to take the lead from out of our opponents hands.  It was the best team I have coached in the four years I have been here.  Their sportsmanship and character was always recognized by our opposing coaches.  They always took the time to say thanks for our sportsmanship.  That shows a lot about the type of players I had. 

Congratulations OCRS Wildcats. One more undefeated championship season for the Oak Creek Ranch School softball team.
